Threat Modelling for Activists

How can you understand the threats your group faces from police, far right groups and others and make effective plans to protect yourselves, without getting paranoid?

This practical workshop will explore safety planning for activists, with usable tools and tips to protect each other. We’ll cover:

• How to identify what the state, far-right or others want to find out about your group or campaign.
• Common police and far-right tactics to target groups, and how to protect yourself, your privacy and your comrades.
• What is ‘doxxing’, why does it happen, and how can you prevent the exposure of personal details on the internet?

During the workshop, we’ll invite you to use these tools and information to identify risks and actions you can take in your own organising to minimise the risks and maximise your ability to take action safely.
